Hire Purchase - Voulntary Termination HELP!!!!!

Can anyone help with hire purchase, ive just handed my car back, its called a voluntary termination, it was either that, or the car people would have repossed it. Now ive given the car back, paid about £4grand, and now they are still chasing me with a 7 grand bill.... please help....

    If you have paid 50 % of the value of the goods (the figure will be on thhe front of your HP agrement) you can return the goods with nothing further to pay and no penalty. The main proviso is that the goods must be in a reasonable condition so if its damaged or you haven't had it serviced ets they will have a further claim on you. If you have handed it back before you have paid the50% you can make a further payment to bring you over this threshhold
