Hiya. I am looking to try and find a job for 16 hours a week. The problem is I am a genuine Psychopath with real personality disorders.
This could be difficult.
My Doctors and the DWP say I am unfit to work. My Parents cringe at me whenever I raise the fact that I want to work.
I have a past of strangling fellow staff members, using payment systems wrong and most times being a rather vocal disrespectful worker.
But still I want to work because its something I've never really had.
I am in a good position where I don't have the job center breathing down my neck.
I also can live on less than £7000 a year which is enough to pay my mortgage. I decided to use my benefits to get a house so in the future I would have low costs which would enable me to get even the lowest paying job.
If I got a job for 16 hours a week I would get Tax Credits/Universal Credit to top me up between £5000 to £7000. I can't do full time because I have to pace myself in order to make sure I keep myself clean and do house work.
So I am looking for a job which won't put to much pressure onto me.
I live near Grimsby in Lincolnshire.
I was thinking of taking a Fort Lift Truck Licence or something. Getting a skilled qualification or something. I am in the middle of writing letters to big companies asking them what kind of skills they need so I can possibly train in a field which will land me a full time or part time job.
There is a issue of training though. It has to be less than 16 hours and not Higher Education. The DWP have funny rules surrounding income related ESA which stops people like myself from going to University while living at home.
So anyone got any tips?

There's nothing to stop you going to university, but some of your student finance will be classed as income for ESA purposes.
Given your history in employment, what work do you think might be suitable for you? Does driving a fork lift present a risk to yourself or others?0 -
Not sure where you are in the AsPD/NPD spectrum, but you might find these people helpful - http://www.psychforums.com/antisocial-personality/topic84914.html
Depending on how high functioning you are, there's no reason you can't work - It's all down to how motivated you are. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Next Step: Bathroom renovation booked for January 2021

And how much of a risk he (?) poses to others.0 -

So what self management strategies have you developed to prevent this from happening again? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
You did say strangle didn't you?:shocked::shocked:0

And you actually expect to gain employment with these skills? Whilst not wising to belittle your disability, even were you to be offered employment, I cannot see it lasting. Employers tend to frown on these sorts of things .If you are genuine, and your user name suggests not, then you need your condition under control before looking for employment.0 -

That's why it depends on how much of a high functioning AsPD they are - violence is a result of impulse/frustration, rather than aggression. If the individual is sufficiently motivated they rarely pose a threat of violence.
AsPD tends to result in more rationalisation - think looking after an elderly relative for the inheritance - you could kill them, but then you wouldn't inherit.
You might be pushed to the edge by the stresses and demands of being responsible for your relative - it's an emotionally draining time - and it can lead to 'elder abuse'
They are less likely to be repulsed or frustrated by the caring role, simply because they don't care - it's about the payoff. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Ah yes, all psychopaths can be managed simply by motivating them. Not oversimplifying things too much there?

Yes, because my posts haven't all indicated it's a spectrum...That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

fork lift driving tends to be in warehouses which can be quite a high-pressure time-driven environment.
Provided you don't think you'd strangle puppies or drown kittens, could you work with animals? That might not involve too much contact with people or money.
Or gardening/landscape work?A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
