Home Gym Equipment

Options
Apart from the obvious choice of Amazon, can anyone reccomend any places to buy home gym equipment? Are there any niche stores that do second hand equipment, in particular looking for a cardio bike - and don't really trust ebay for equipment like this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

ebay have major brands on there (high street and online ones). Not sure why you would be so averse, there are some serious savings to be found on there. Just set your preference to "new" and then you know exactly what you're getting.

You could try your local freecycle, facebook groups, but otherwise you will be hard pushed to find good quality second hand without looking on there.

We have quite a well equipped home gym and, apart from the multi-gym which was sourced a local small ad, it's all good quality stuff bought from ebay.

People buy it with the best of intentions, hardly use it, and then flog it when they get fed up using it as a clothes rack.

Our local amenity tip is full of the stuff. Put out for sale.
I recently took an excellent walking machine there myself.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
  • What are your goals?

If your goals are more cardio based you might be best just going outside to run instead of taking up space with a treadmill or bike.

A very good option if you're struggling for cash would be to make your own sandbag. They're amazing. All you need is a sack from a military surplus store, sand (it's cheap (or free), lots of gravel sacks, duct tape and a weighing scale.
