Argos Direct Fax Number

Hi All,
This is my first post on here so please bear with me.
We are having a long running saga with Argos Direct in crediting our bank account for 2 x chairs (1 x not accepted as damaged in transit and 1 x collected by their carrier as that was damaged beyond repair too).
We have received a grovelling letter from their Customer Support Manager including a £10 Gift Voucher:
To date we have been credited for one chair @ £49.99 and £4.99 shipping, that alone took 10 phone calls!!!.
We are still owed £49.99 and after 30 plus calls no amount of pleading/cajoling/threatening with court action will get our money back! In fact Argos are downright hostile and when we threatned them with court action were told "please yourselves and hung up"
Where to go next? If anyone can point us in the right direction we would really appreciate it.
We will not hestitate to take this all the way to High Court if necessary for refund and interest now but in the meantime does anyone have Argos fax number please.
Best wishes,
Mike Spence

iyou could try going to your local store, explain the situation and ask nicely if they will phone argos direct on your behalf.
failing that put your complaint in writing, send it recorded delivery so that it has to be signed for, and go from thereknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Did you speak to a manager about this or just the first person that answered the phone? If the latter, do call again and insist on speaking to only a manager. Try and get a name and extension in case you need to speak to them again.0

Yes we did contact the Customer Support Manager, Mari-Ann Wiggin, thats who the letter is from as detailed above.
Subsequent phone calls and Argos have never heard of her???

No problem, I would be interested to hear how you get on.
You can also get advice from the Consumer Action Group. They helped me out no ends on previous disputes i've had with other companies.
Here's a link to the section where you can post a request on advice re: Argos

I am sure that i have heard of this person from when i have phoned up Argos Direct for customers who have had letters from them. Go into a store and ask them to phone AD for you, but please bear in mind that yes Argos Direct are sometimes crap beyond belief but if you go to the store they will try to help and just because AD are crap doesnt mean the rest of Argos are, some ppl will go out of there way to help ohers just like other company`s its just annoying when we are all labelled as the same crap
Rant over hope you get sorted0 -

The person mentioned above will no longer be able to assist in any customer service issues. If you do feel you aren't getting anywhere then it maybe worthwhile persuing this at MD level, which i'm sure will be quickly resolved.

Hi All,
Just to let you know that Argos Direct credited our bank account today for the full amount owing to us. For the hassle/time and everything that goes with it we will not be persuing them for any other costs incurred - we will never buy from them again!!!.
Thanks to the board for all the support given - it can't be pure coincidence that within days of logging a post about Argos Direct we are credited!!!
Best wishes to all.
