Hi all,
I know that my diet is lacking in nutrients etc and need to start eating more fish - i currently eat prawns and chip shop fish
Can anyone advise a good type of fish to start with no too strong and with simple cooking instructions?
I live on the coast so have lots of local places to buy good quality fish i just dont know where to start

I'm like you and also dont like fish that tastes too 'fishy' If you like chip shop fish then you should like haddock and cod, tuna steaks and salmon are also quite mild in flavour.
All the above can be quick fried or steamed (wrapped in foil in the oven/steamed in a veg steamer or steamed in the microwave) for around 15-20 minutes.
You could also use a parsley/whitewine or cheese sauce if you like to disguise the fact it is fish!
