How do you treat yourself and what is a reasonable spend

  • By many people's standards I took quite a relaxed approach to debt busting. I managed to get everything on to 0% or low interest cards and actually spent money on doing up the house while debt busting. My grocery bill is still sky high compared to many people on here but I figure that I entertain friends at home and that is important to me.
While I was debt busting I used to daydream about a new laptop or designer handbag but guess what - I paid everything off and now I don't want any extra 'stuff'
So allow yourself some treats and enjoy yourself along the way

  • I'm trying to figure out the same thing myself. All I know is that right now I'm spending way too much on treats. I love the idea of making a list of free treats. I'm off to do that now!
