DWP Compliance Officer Interview

I have been asked to attend a interview regarding a query for the tax year 2013/14 and all i can think of is that my savings must be more than the limit witch i always thought was 10/000 but now i have looked into this and its 6/000 i have made a genuine mistake and have read some real horror stories what may happen to me i am a full time carer for my father and in claim CA and IS.I am worried sick as what may happen i am willing to pay any money back that i am not due to.Any help and advice would be very welcome.
