Amazon Prime....

Yesterday I signed up for Amazon's "Prime" "FREE trial for 1 Month however I notice my Credit card has been debited a pound (£1.oo) so how is this a FREE trial.

    They don't actually take the £1 off your credit card, they simply authorise the deduction. It's a precaution to make sure that your credit card is actually valid.

    It does temporarily reduce your credit limit by £1, but it won't actually affect your balance, so you won't be charged any interest or be asked to pay that money off. After a few days, that authorisation expires, and the £1 holding fee will simply disappear from your account.
