OP you seem to want more facts as proof it's a scam. Not sure why, but here you go.

So, their address is Bockenheimer Landstraße 19, Frankfurt, D-60323, Germany. If you google this address it does not come up with their company. It comes up with Allianz Global Investors GmbHand.

They give no phone number. Very bad sign.

You can look up web site domain details. However, I can't find out anything on the site that gives all the details (names, contact details, country, site start date, site expiry date etc. Nothing).

What I did find was on another site. It states that the site IP location is Moscow. It is registered to a person (not company). Name listed is stephan wannemaker and below that it states the organisation is douglas consulting and services gmbh. It does list them as being in Germany. The organisation listed is in Dusseldorf so the two don't match for location.

The name given doesn't come up when you search that and the original company (Douglas Financial).

    To sum up:
    Address: Not theirs.
    Phone number: Doesn't exist
Web site domain: Details on one lookup site not public, on other nothing matches up.

    Job: Money laundering scam
You will lose out and if caught the blame will be on you as you are basically the one who will be laundering the money. There's no way they're going to believe you didn't know, especially with this thread.

Why on earth would anybody running a legitimate business need to shuffle their money through your bank account?

They said its supposed to help people selling their shares on the LSE pay less tax.

So Tax evasion? Surely you aren't still considering this 'job' to be
    genuine?

Well they're hardly going to tell you it's a scam and if it all goes wrong you'll probably be the first person they come after!

As already said, sounds like tax evasion.

Sonds to me more like generic scam (money in, you pay out, money in bounces) disguised as tax evasion.

If it seems too good to be true it probably is.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

That email isn't "fairly professional" at all - it's riddled with errors.

But even if it was perfect, the situation still screams scam. I haven't looked at the website, and I've no idea if it's a real firm - but even if it is, the situation is still a scam.

It's quite easy to set up a gig pretending to be someone else. If I sent you an email on behalf of Barclays, you could easily check that Barclays is a real firm - it is. But if I'm asking you to move money around on Barclays' behalf, you know I'm scamming.

You're right, it is full of English errors, I only scanned it TBH.

No matter how much extra information you provide mootonandy you won't convince people here that it is a legit process and you should stop trying to convince yourself.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
