My nearly 12 year old is having a stunt scooter, a couple of footballs, a rugby ball, adidas clothing, Fifa 16, he's very sporty! My 10 year old has asked for more Thinking Putty, it's really good stuff and I think most ages would play with it.
My 14 year old has asked for a gaming pc and that is not going to happen, he's into retro gaming though so he will have a load of mega drive and snes games.

I bought my son a reconditioned iPhone 5 from eBay last Christmas, for I think £120. He was made up with it.
If too expensive how about reconditioned/used iPod touch.
I will be giving I my 12 year old - chocolate, pie face game, ps4 headphones and cash.

You can get an older Iphone cheaper from the phone companies once they bring the newer model out., i got my daughter the iphone 5c for a capped monthly paymnt of £23, but there will probably companies doing it cheaper.

I got the Wii U in the end - used my Tesco Clubcard vouchers so it was half price :-)
