Morrisons Christmas Bonus?

Anybody know if Morrisons are operating the Christmas bonus scheme this year? Seem to think it had started by now last year...

If they aren't doing it, I'll be off somewhere else to food shop I think! I stuck with them because of the Match and More scheme which now seems practically worthless. They have very kindly sent me a month's worth of '£8 off an £80' shop vouchers, but as there are only 2 of us I'd have to buy more than I usually would to qualify for it, which defies the point!

probably not , they've more or less pulled out of "vouchering" discounts in the last quarter

I don't think so, I'd try somewhere else. If you don't mind online shopping Tesco had £15 off when you spent £60 for new customers last time I looked and other supermarkets often have similar!

I don't think they are this year. I have a match and more card and 2 weeks ago I got a booklet with 6 vouchers to use each week before Christmas. The first week if you spend £30 or more you get a extra thousand points on your card then thee second week a extra five hundred points if you spend the same etc. This would work out as ten pounds in points if I use the vouchers. I used the first one this Saturday but im not too sure if I will be this week though as I do a small shop at Lidl too.

Those types of vouchers never worked for me. I had 2 vouchers for an extra 250 points for spending a tenner, 1 for each half of last month. I use each one correctly, in date and after spending a tenner but neither increased my points balance. The receipt showed that the voucher had been scanned and just said -£0.01. I rarely get points now, I just shop there because I actually like it so any money off vouchers are just a bonus.

I share the Match and More card with my mum. We can combine shopping to get the points when you need to spend over a certain amount. We also take it in turns to use the £5 vouchers.

I don't know about the Christmas bonus, but shop in Morrisons quite regularly and have seen nothing about it.

I remember signing up for Match & More quite enthusiastically, only to find it more or less useless as it only kicks in if you purchase something like 13 items in one go (which I often don't), so now don't even bother scanning the card.

I like Morrisons though because of prices and they stock some items that many others don't.

They have sent some customers voucher books with weekly spend x amount and get x amounts of extra points, and if you use 5 out of 6 of the vouchers you will get x amount of extra points.


Seeming the amount to spend and the amounts of points varies for different customers. If I use all of mine I will get 5 £5 vouchers by Christmas.


I shop about once every 3 weeks in Morrisons, and got the vouchers, where as my mum shops there every week and didn't, so she rang up, and seemingly only irregular shoppers are getting them. My mum is peeved, and Morrisons aren't going to gain long term from it. I will shop at Morrisons for 6 weeks, then switch back.
