Failing to update the credit file.......

Hi All,
I am in a Self-Managed DMP. Naturally I have felt a little under the cosh now and then so I do expect creditors to behave and abide by their duties.
Following a long break, I have had cause to view my credit file. I notice that some creditors are happy to put a default on file and then not update the file to reflect my ongoing payments. In a couple of cases no update has been made for a year or more and the debts are still showing a balance from about a year ago. They have not been sold to DCA's either.
Can anybody say.......are these predators in breach of any responsibility under the FCA's rules? Is this cause for an official complaint?
Thanks everybody.
Brogden.

Personal data shall be accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date.
Not updating for a year, is very very much NOT excusable.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thank you very much for this Ferni.
I am going in with a complaint, a promise to take to the FOS if final response unsatisfactory and a cheeky F&F offer to avoid the need for them to have to go to any trouble
!!
Thanks again - very much appreciated.0
