Disappointed in prize

I won with Tesco beauty on twitter it was the Colgate prize, After chasing the prize up (Took over 1 month to arrive) i get a knock at the door and have to sign for a package. It turns out to be a cheap tube of Colgate toothpaste, They had spent £4.60 on sending a prize i could have got 2 for a pound! The post to me was misleading as it said prizes! Sent them a DM. Guess i got my hopes up for a tube of cheap toothpaste :rotfl:

Got to laugh.

I also won, I missed a package yesterday and started work early this morning so I sent the hubby to collect it from the post office before his headed off for work himself... He was NOT happy I sent to him to sign for a tube of toothpaste! I thought he was having me on at first as to what it was, I have to say I was a little disappointed too.

Did you DM them on twitter?

It would have been better to send a coupon for the tube.

I don't really know what to say, I don't want to sound ungrateful. Think I'll just take it on the chin this time! At least its one less thing I need to buty while doing the weekly shop tonight! :rotfl:

Similar situation with me. I won with Arm and Hammer on Twitter. Received a signed for package which turned out to be a tube of toothpaste and a trial size one at that!!!

Just had to laugh it off but I really don't see the point in them going to the expense of sending it!!!

Wanted to post a update,

I contacted Tesco and yesterday i got a DM saying another prize was on the way and this morning 8.15am this turned up Needless to say i am very happy this is a item i would consider to be a luxury and something i would not buy so getting this s a big buzz for me lol.

I entered a comp on twitter, 'send in a photo and the best one gets a prize' type comp and I won YAY! only to be DM'd a 10% off code for their website!!
