denying me a holiday when the shop is closed is not fair or reasonable and in court they would consider if this is the type of behavior in another company, i cant see that being the case!.

On what grounds would you be taking them to court? As long as they allow you to take your leave within the holiday year they are doing nothing wrong.

If the shop is closed then you are unable to go into work so your going to be off work anyway. So I'm not surprised they don't want you taking your holiday during this time when you arnt going to be in work anyway.
  • so if i go into work and say i want to know when i can take all my holidays because i have been denied all requests, if they cannot give me an answer or wont allow me then they are breaking the law???.

    Still no I'm afraid.

The only way you could force the issue is if for example there are only 5 days left in the holiday year and you are owed 5 days.

Although I do agree with you that the boss is being an !!!!.

You still haven't said if you are on a zero hour contract or not. To be honest it's pointless anyone on here trying to give you advice as you seem to have already made your mind up that the company are doing something illegal which they are not and by the way, ACAS are as useful as a chocolate ashtray.

You have already said your on a Zero Hour contract and they have given you zero hours for the period they are closed. What exactly are you complaining about?. Like everyone had said by law you have no right to choose when to use your holiday. They have even offered to give you work in another location so they are trying to be reasonable. But you can't expect to go on holiday and get paid at a time when you wouldn't have been able to work anyway!.

If i was them and you were contacting the MP and trying to make trouble for them when they haven't done anything wrong I would be giving you zero hours for a long time!
