"This week Hugh’s War on Waste hit our screens and the Twittersphere has become abuzz with conversations about reducing food waste. A huge campaign has launched to encourage everyone to #wastenot after the BBC One programme aired on Monday.The average household bins £700 of food a year, but that can be cut down with simple steps, and one of those is correct storage.
Cake is a highly perishable item, and we all hate to have to throw away that last piece! You can keep your cake fresher for longer by sealing it in an airtight container, such as a cake tin.
For November’s competition we are giving away a set of Joules cake tins to help you to stop you wasting your delicious cake. You have to be in it to win it, so enter using the form below."
