CCJ Question

I have a CCJ that is due to go over the 6 year mark in August 2017, it's for a relatively small amount of around £300 which I can afford to pay off. The question I had was if I pay the CCJ off will it still drop off my credit file in August 2017 or will it drop off 6 years after the CCJ is settled?
I also have the same question but for a Default, if a defaulted account is say 5 years 11 months old if someone were to settle it would that "reset" the 6 year clock in terms of my credit file?

They will both drop off 6 years from the original judgement date or default date, no matter what you do. Settling them, or not, will not change that.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
