Purchase date and price match promise

I have ordered a camera online from Calumet Photographic on 14 October but not received yet as they didn't have in stock and are awaiting my camera from Nikon. That's okay as I am in no massive hurry.

In the last day or two another retailer has dropped the price by £73 and Calumet say they will price match up to 7 days after purchase.

My question is what would be my official purchase date? If it is the 14th then am too late but it seems wrong for it to be that early for example in relation to my warranty ft the camera doesn't arrive for say another 2 weeks I would lose one month off the warranty. I assume it would the date of my receipt which will be the date it is dispatched?

To complicate matters I have purchased on 0% finance. All that part has been approved and I can see the direct debit set up on my bank account though nothing has been taken yet.

You say that you will get your receipt on the day of despatch, surely you already have a receipt when you placed the order?

Your warranty starts on the day of your receipt which is the same as your purchase date.

I ordered something from John Lewis that took a week to arrive while they were waiting for the stock and when they emailed me my 2 year warranty it was dated the same as my order/purchase date.
