Gaming headset on par with Bose QC ?

Hi folks looking for suggestions, I'm currently using my Bose QC15 (£250ish) for playing online games (PC), World of Warships etc.
Whilst they are great acoustically and comfort wise, the noise cancelling element is not needed and cost wise I really want to save them for flights which is why I bought them.
I don't want to lose the sound quality, full ear enclosure and comfort but would like to buy something else for every day use, cost wise I'd be happy paying around £100...a mic is not required
Anyone any suggestions ?

Slight overkill for WoW
I have had a set of Turtle Beach for ~6 years, or at least I did until I snapped one arm. I have just repaired them (literally last night) but in the interim I was using a set of Skullcandy I got a few months ago. These are adequate, but not really what I was looking for. They are are certainly designed for bass heavy tracks, but don't seem to have a massive dynamic range.
The sound on WoW (at least when I was beta testing) wasn't spectacular. I'm not sure I'd be spending big money unless I was playing games like CoD or MGS where the sounds can alert you to threats. When you can see the shells arriving from the horizon it isn't really necessary to hear them coming as well.
If you are set on buying a decent pair, then look at the Hyper-X range. They seem to get consistently good reviews (from gamers) and would be well within that £100 budget. Alternatively, I would probably look at Razer next. Similar price range, and reviews are just as good. It will probably come down to aesthetics as to which you go for.
One point I will make is that force feedback seems to be a feature on more recent headsets. I like the sound of that as I play WoW and tanks and suspect that a vibrating headset might add a bit more to the experience. Might be worth considering?0 -
I'll have a look at them thanks for the suggestions.
In regards to overkill, agreed the Bose are indeed too much :-)
However saying that the difference between them and my old Plantronics headset..is ten fold....so what I did realise is that a good headset can add greatly to a games experience, I hear sounds and depth like never before in Wow and WoT'S..0 -
I used the QC 15 for gaming but needed a mic and bought these based on recommendations for £16 at the time. I'd say they sound better than the bose and my nethew has the hyperx headset but I find it too small for my big head.
