When we moved into our house the wooden frames on our velux windows had black mould stains on them from condensation. I've bought the maintenance and repair kits from Velux, but how do I get rid of the black staining before varnishing? I've got Astonish Mould and Mildew spray which isn't strong enough, so if anyone has any ideas for anything else which would work I'd be very grateful.

I've seen that on sale, so I'll get some this weekend.0 -
Did yours have the black mould stains on too? I'll give that a go this weekend and see if it works.
Yes (our house is unheated), and there were mould stains on the fabric of the blind as well; luckily it was quite long, so I took it down, cut off the mouldy bit and re-stitched the stick bit in - with a fair bit of trepidation, but it worked really well, to my surprise. Good luck!0
