clyesdale Mortgage

hi
i am self employed contractor and my husband is employed
we have gone through a broker (who is rubbish and slow but thats another story)
both our credit reports on Experien are showing as ' FAIR' - is this something i should be worried about?? (no defaults or late payments)
affordability is fine - i am just afraid they will instruct the survey only to then decline our mortgage when they credit score ua.
if the clyesdale mortgage gets declined - whats the next options?
thanks:mad::mad:

Your broker may have selected Clydesdale as the will make a manual decision on your seemingly patchy credit files.
They are slow to respond but there are other options for Contracters with less than perfect credit.I am a Mortgage Broker

As a contractor specialist broker myself - Clydesdale would not be the first choice for any client with credit issues..? They're more flexible than some but are definitely not an 'adverse' lender, and as AMN says, there are better choices out there, albeit more expensive.
Presumably your broker has seen your credit report and as such has no concerns over using Clydesdale?
In terms of service, they're not the quickest that's true. Neither, however, are they the slowest, so hang in there if your broker says all ok.I am a mortgage adviser.You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Experian don't lend money so the fact they rate you as "fair" is irrelevant.0
