Tesco coupons???

Around July this year I received my vouchers/coupon clubcard rewards statement from Tesco. However there were no money off coupons. I've always received coupons and always spend them ('every little helps'). Everyone else I know who uses Tesco had received vouchers and coupons.

I emailed Tesco asking why I hadn't received coupons and was informed not everyone gets them (I'm one of the privileged) though after 10+ years of receiving them, I'm baffled as to why I suddenly don't get any.

Today I received my voucher statement and yet again, no coupons.

I do feel rather suspicious of this because after my last big shop (I don't go often as I don't drive, have to cycle, and the store is out of town) I filled in the customer questionnaire on the back of the till receipt and had the audacity to complain about the lack of bike racks at the store (10 racks, each with 2 or 3 bikes padlocked to them) but 100's of car spaces (and they think they're 'green friendly'). I now wonder if my complaining has something to do with their having a major sulk with me and confiscating the lollipop they've previously ladled out to me).

Has anyone else had this problem?

I had the same thing happen Last statement, my boyfriend got extra money off coupons but I didn't! I got the same response as you via twitter that not everyone gets them. I wondered if it was because I already do Tesco Orchard and use their mag coupons but Unlike you I've never complained. Would be interesting to see if I get any this time.

Yes, proportional coupons are not guaranteed. As long as you have opted in to receive coupons, they may arrive, but then again they may not.
They are not generated by the Customer Service/Clubcard team, but by Marketing - who maybe targeting customers in a different way.

I'd be interested to know if you get the coupons this time - I do feel uneasy that I'm possibly being targeted because I complained...but then it seems you can be targeted if you don't complain

I've always got loads before but definitely noticing distinct lack of 'extra' coupons in past couple of months and now my Christmas savers vouchers. Thought I must have missed something :think:

Same here,nothing last time. Never ever not had any before. Wondering what the current ones will yield, not received them yet. Not made any complaints either!

Both November's & August's only had the cash vouchers, but I did get a batch of extra points coupons in October.

I used to get the extra money off coupons and extra points but the two statements I haven't received any extra coupons.

I always got money off coupons, none in July August or September but since then I have.
I have not complained either.

I personally don't feel that you are being targeted as a result of your complaint, because I have also noticed the disappearance of the coupons when receiving my statements (and in between). Having shopped with Tesco for about 8 years, I have always received quite an abundance of coupons, but around July, they just stopped completely.

Judging by the amount of people who have experienced the same, I think it might have more to do with the fact that Tesco are losing money and looking at ways to cut back, including the increase of their minimum online spend from £25.00 to £40.00, which from my perspective has had the opposite effect, as that was one of the attractions and incentives of me choosing Tesco over the other Big Four, I now shop there less frequently. Their loss.
