ahh thanks caitlin, i was a bit lost on ebe scrooge's comment but now i understand.

shinkyshonky - yes, i've eaten many tins of baked beans over the past few years! though meat has been back on the menu now for a while.

For me, i'm glad i found this site and understood more of what i signed up for with regards to being a guarantor.

I think i managed to save a bankrupcy in her case with the level of debt she was in, and I feel that it cancels out my own mistakes 14 years ago. Thats what i think anyway, and it makes me sleep well at night. Or as my business partner said to me today 'if she goes awol, your putting that money back in'. I love a bit of reality.
