Interesting post on HUKD about this 'offer', which has all the hallmarks of a classic marketing scam:

So Far all I have received is a letter via Royal Mail, addressed to 'Boiler Owner', saying that if I sign up to a 2 year Corgi HomePlan maintenance contract then I will get a free Carbon monoxide alarm.

The safety guide is a PDF document. My anti-virus software didn't find anything else.

Junk mail goes straight into my recycling bag by the front door.

Anonymous phone calls are dealt with by my Anonymous Call Rejection service and those from unrecognised numbers are left to my answering/recording machine.

In view of the above comments, I used my "spam trap" e-mail address.

I plan to keep the detector (with the little plastic strip disconnecting the battery) until July 2017, when my existing CO detector says it should be replaced.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
