Tax code - BR

Hi,

I have two part time jobs both of which earn me under the tax threshold I have been in my second job since Feb 2nd this year and received a rebate of £50 after April. I have been paying a basic rate tax on my second job each month since and wondered if there's anything I can do to stop them taking tax from me as I'm not earning enough.

At the moment I'm unsure if I will get another rebate or if I have to apply for it?

If you work out how much you will earn over the tax year in each job and then ring HMRC and ask them to split your tax code between the two. The best way to split it depends on how much you will earn in each job. You could come back with how much each job will earn you over the year and I am sure someone will help you decide which figures would be best for you.
