Hi,

I'm looking for some advice.

I've been offered a new job () and start soon. Today I finally received the main contract documents with all the terms.

Unfortunately this was for someone else and a completely different job. It had all of their information on it - Full name, address, job title, contract terms, length of contract, and salary.

I'm sure that it is some type of breach of the data protection act - although I would never do anything with someone else's information.

However, I'm concerned that as I never received my contract - someone else has.

I've contacted the HR department about this (they're outsourced it appears) and they've (after checking and getting back to me) told me over the phone that no one has received my contract and asked me to post the other one back.

However, should I be worried?
