SOA Energy costs?

Hi,

If my energy bills are lower than what was listed on my SOA does the OR need to be notified and a change made? I'm hoping that due to it being an allowed expenditure that any money saved would be allowed?

If a DRO had the same issue would the savings be classed as spare income? Or again would it be a case of the figure agreed is what they assume and it doesn't need amendment?

I've sort of answered this elsewhere.

You may been in the past trying to cut back on heating and electric usage so you could pay your creditors. There's no need to continue doing this so you can crank the heating up to 21. Explain that to the OR and you can spend more than what you would have been spending over the last 12 months. There's no need to prove the figure as long as it's a reasonable figure to use £120 a month for a 3 bedroom semi with 4 occupants is a fair figure. If you spend £90 don't worry about it.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
