Neck/throat cream recommendations?

Racing towards 50 :-(

Anyone recommend any specific neck creams they have tried.

I've used the timebomb one - I think it's ok.
I've read the M&S formular one is good.
Anyone used Prai?

Any others?

  • I think one thing all neck creams have in common is that they are quite rich creams. I suppose it all depends on your budget, I have used the Aldi own brand day and night creams but only used them on my neck and I have to say they are quite adequate
have also used a mega expensive Est!e Lauder one , with no better results than a cheaper cream

I tried the Aldi cream after reading somewhere how great it was, I didn't like it.

I do want a neck cream, not a face cream I use on my neck.
  • Even the ladies that wrote the Beauty Bible book said it wasn't really necessary to buy a separate neck cream and a lot of them were't that great (i.e. got lower scores from testers than typical - e.g. compared to face creams). One of the authors said she just carried her face cream down to her chest - and the authors do love their beauty products.

Of the neck creams they tested for the latest natural beauty bible they liked the Dr Hauschka and Liz Earle ones. The other two award winners in that category weren't even officially neck creams.

I just carry my face cream down my neck.

If you have specific concerns about your neck that are different to your face, you could try buying a face cream which says it would target the things you are concerned about with your neck.

I have been using M&S own brand neck cream for years. I use it all round my neck and down to my bust and it lasts for ages. In my mid 50s I don't have a line on my neck, even friends comment on that one.

Trouble is people forget that you need to use it all the way round and up behind your ears. Oh and did you know that the skin on the neck is what is hold your bust and chest skin so you need to go all the way down.

The skin on my neck is less sensitive than the skin on my face so I can get away with using a cheaper face cream on it (I use brands like Avene on my face). So I just buy a cheap face cream that is very rich and thick.
  • Not MSE but the best neck product I've used is Gatineau Firming Throat Gel - if you buy it from QVC you can send it back within 30 days if it's not for you.

But now Gatineau insist you need a cream over it and not use on its own. It does not really moisturise either.

Trust me M&S beats it hands down.
