where can i find a loan ??

Hi everybody,
First i'm french..so i apologize for my bad english.
I need a loan.. £6000..
I'm 32 yo.. architect.. Working in Full time in an architectural office.. earn £27000 per annum .. living here maybe for the rest of my life..but just from September 2006.
And because neither i'm not british, nor i'm not here for more than 3 years.. no body wants to lend money to me.. I'm really exausted and frustrated..
Do i have some solution ?

Bonjour and welcome to the forum!

What are you looking to do with the loan, why do you want it?
  • to buy a car..
I really don't understand why they all refuse..i don't have any debt.. and i'm not unemployement.. and look for a lend refund in 3 years.. domething like £200 per month..
    :(
  • When companies lend money they are not just looking at whether the customer has any debt but also to confirm that the customer is who they say there are etc. They usually want to be able to confirm their address history for 3 years. As you haven't been living here for very long, and would not be on the voters roll there's probably very little information available for you. Also, they would have no way of confirming anything you did while abroad. Sadly, you may have to wait until that kind of loan becomes available to you.

An option could be a secured loan?

Do you own your house or are you renting?
  • i'm a tenant..

  • Arvhiskyblue - ca va? - mieux if you could get a loan I expect - I can half-help, I saw a website recently but cannot recall the name! Its basically a loan system where people offer sums of money outside of the major banking systems - has anyone heard about this?
  • Firstly, register on the electoral register, as an EU citizen you can vote in EU elections and it will help you get credit.

Secondly, I would recommend you speak to your current British bank about a loan, they will already know you and if you speak to them in branch you are more likely to be approved, as you will have a current account showing your salary etc.

    Je vous souhaite bonne chance!

    Simon.
