Sequestration. Where to start?

Hi.
I live in Scotland and am thinking about becoming bankrupt,or sequestration as it's called here. I've been dealing with a firm called Mackenzie and Stuart in Glasgow who tell me sequestration is the best way to get out of my debts, which is fine. But I need to pay £125 per month for 4 years, or rather have someone pay £125 on my behalf. I thought this was fine until I heard someone say that I shouldn't have to be paying this amount of money.
Just wondering if I do need to pay this, or is it their charge for the service?

I also live in Scotland and have been through this. It looks like they are a debt management company and probably will charge you a fee. Do you have this amount free after paying all your expenses? If I were you I would go to citizens advice and get some advice before you do anything. Or go to one of the free ones. Hope this helps?0
