My Daughter took on a part time cleaning job earlier this month to earn extra money Unfortunately after completing 1 weeks work she was sick which was diagnosed as stress related and could not cope with the extra work , she was advised to leave the part time job as it was a 4:30 am start which aggravated her situation she did speak with the company to see if she could be transferred to a different shift but there were none available .She has been informed that the wages for the 15hrs work she did complete (she has not pursued the sickness period) will have to be forfeited as it is company policy and will be classed as training ..the only training she received was a 30 min indoctrination on how to lift and what and what not to do ...can the company do this? ..she was unaware of this clause and was not issued with a contract ..she is about £100 out of pocket , Is she entitled to her wages , if so how can she claim them back ..thanks

Well 15 hours work minus a 30 minute training session still equates to 14.5 hours that should be paid, Tell them to pay up or you will take it further.0

As above Letter Before Action demanding the money within 14 days.

Cost to claim £100 is £25 and can be added to the money owed.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
