Advice on mortgage process.

Hi all,

Confused with the mortgage process!

We had a decision in principle and continued down the process with a broker. The broker called today, to say we were declined initally due to adverse credit 4 years but had got it over turned with someone. He asked what account the repayments were coming from and we would get stuff emailed over and now have a case manager.

Does it mean we have got a mortgage? Sorry if sound dense!

It sounds like you have an agreement in principle.
Next steps would be to apply, send over documents, underwriting and valuation being carried out.

Once all of that is done, you will get your offer and that will be sent to you, your broker and the solicitor.

Legals will then be started and once complete you will exchange and then pick up your keys.

  • Thanks agc, all documents Inc bank statements, wage slips etc were sent over, along with reservation plot details after the dip for the application last night/today.

You're probably right. Over thinking things as normal'

This is a question for your broker. If you are unsure, ask.
