Lying on entry forms/surveys

Seen a few comps recently that have asked for things like wedding dates or car insurance renewal dates as a mandatory field, do people just make something up? Usually the terms say open to anyone in the UK so not specifically drivers or engaged people etc! Same with surveys, would people bend the truth a little to enter a prize draw? I've been put off entering comps before as was scared it would come up and I'd be exposed, am I the only one?

Insurance is not a problem so I give the correct date.
Wedding I leave blank if the form lets you, or I put n/a or 00/00/00000 -
I put correct information - some of them ask for proof of the wedding date etc before a prize is awarded (T&C's sometimes state it).0

Sometimes a form doesn't allow the truth - in which case it's their fault that I have to lie (eg. How many Bentleys do you own? 1, 2 or 3). Otherwise brutal honesty is my usually policy (and it's often good fun).
Would you recommend xxx to friends or family? Not if I valued their friendship
What's the first thing you would do with the set of knives? Cut the end of my finger off
Pick one word to describe xxx? Nauseating
Who would you share the chocolate with? Share  Are you nuts?0 -

If it asks if I have children I always so no and I would even if I did because it saves time filling in the form0

I don't enter wedding comps so wouldn't lie in that respect, but do lie when they ask for some story or other. Have come up with some right whoppers lol
Used to rack my brains trying to remember things that I could quote, but now tend to just make things up on the spot.
Also quite happy to say I like something that I've never actually tried.
Things they can't prove - wouldn't risk something major!
Jx2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
for wedding comps I put dd's wedding date but don't enter for thing s like wedding dresses, honeymoons etc, I don;t drive & am loathe to lie about being able to ( donlt know why)proud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

Generally i don't lie, but It has happened.
I feel the same way about surveys, I don't really like when you see a comment that says "Just enter No on the first question and it skips to the end" ... I think if someone is offering a prize as a result of a survey it's generally because they want to learn something from said survey so it's seems wrong / cheating to not answer the survey honestly.0 -

This.
I'll always check out a survey if the prize interests me, but as soon as I get the feeling that I couldn't complete it at least somewhat honestly, I won't do it.0
