Tell my Car Insurer?

Do I need to inform my car insurer of my bankruptcy? I'm aware on renewal/new insurance it may come up but i'm unsure of telling an existing insurer.

Take a look at your original proposal form when you look out the insurance, was there a question about bankruptcy?0

mine had a no br clause so when it happened to me 3 years ago I called Aviva and as I pay for the year upfront they had no problem.
I would call them because if you have a claim they may not payout its usually best to be upfront.0 -
Car insurance were fine about it (octagon). Only thing was they would ask for payment in full when renewing.0

Ring them and ask - no point paying for it if they then decide not to pay out in the event of a claim. Most insurers expect you to tell them about any changes. Most seem to accept an on-going instalment but as you already know, renewal is the tricky bit.0

Sorry should have been clearer, when I called them they said it's fine just mentioned that upon renewal monthly won't be an option.0
