Virgin vent.

Earlier this year I had a go as Virgin were ripping my MIL off see https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5187800
Now she is in hospital and will go into a care home so I want to cancel her phone, Virgin now say that although I have permission to act for her they need another password to cancel the phone. This is a password issued by Virgin but no-one can say when it was issued and it is not the password I set up for online!
So i have spent 14mins waiting and then cut off, 24mins talking to three foreign, difficult to understand people and still have not managed to cancel the phone.
I have now written to them at Swansea to try to cancel it. But why do they make it so hard?
I am looking to switch to a new, cheaper provider myself and was thinking of Virgin but after this will avoid them.

In your previous thread they were not ripping her off, she was on the wrong package for her needs and making expensive calls to directory enquiries.
You could ask them to post out the password, although it would go to the registered address so you'd need to collect it from her home.0
