Mail redirection - is this legal?

Well I couldn't find anything specifically relating to this case, though I've been pretty sure all along that it wasn't entirely above board. If a credit card company won't accept a foreign address on their system, then you shouldn't have the credit card. I'll email him again to ask him to stop using my address, and make sure I keep the email. That way I can at least show I've tried to put a stop to it.0

Once you've moved out it's really nothing to do with you any more.
I'd suggest that in the meantime any mail that misses redirection you put back in the post saying 'not known return to sender'. If there's any complaint you can say the landlord did it - which he's legally entitled to, even obliged to.
Recorded/special delivery are signed for by whoever answers the door - there is no onus to deliver them to a named person, just to the address.0 -
i know the house im in i got a letter to say XYZ are redirecting mail from your property, if this should not be happening contact XXXXX. I suspect if they try to renew this service your landlord will get this letter and no doubt will contact the postal service right away to report fraud.0

yup thats right.the letter goes out to the address where the redirection is set up from to prevent people redirecting someone elses mail0 -
Your father should be using an off shore bank account in Jersey or Isle of Man. This way the banks are happy to post statements and credit cards etc out to foreign address after of course they have confirmed it is their address. Plus it tax fee and higher interest. Why make things difficult for yourself and others.

Well custardy it looks like you're the one in the know. So I guess if they haven't stopped using the address by the time the redirection expires (which will be this time next year) the landlord will get a letter about it and report it. But would it be possible for the landlord to stop the redirection, as they can prove it's their house?0
