Online Banking after Discharge

Hi again everyone
I have recently been discharged woo hoo! That was a long year.
However in the spirit of trying to sort things out I really wanted to reinstate my online banking. I have really really missed it.
Rang Barclays a few week ago and was advised to pop in branch with evidence of AD and they would sort it. Did that but was told the info had to be referred to insolvency department as they had no record of discharge, this would take 5 days and to go back in the branch afterwards.
I just won't have time for a considerable amount of time to get to my branch. Nearest and only one is out of the way.
Has anyone had any joy just reapplying online or ringing up? Would really appreciate to know if anyone has had a different (preferably easier) experience doing this.
Thanks

Get hold of the contact info for Barclays insolvency unit (someone here may have it, or failing that your OR will definitely have it)
Then, just drop them an email or call them directly (I'd personally email them and include a link showing your discharge on the register)
They will be able to do the online reinstatement for you - there's no need to bother with branch staff, as they simply refer the matter to the insolvency unit themselves anyway.
