Santander timeframe??

Hi

Has anyone any ideas on the time frame that Santander are working at? My broker submitted my application on Friday (obviously it won't be this quick!!) but just looking at when I can give my notice on my tenancy IF I get that precious offer.

Ideally you shouldn't give notice until you have exchanged contracts, as that is the point where the purchase is legally binding for both parties.

Me and the OH risked putting the notice in on our rented place (as we had family nearby) and had 1 day to spare and we had to push really hard to meet our target date.

I work offshore so trying timing things into 3wk periods is hard. I can move from here elsewhere until completion. The searches are all complete, my seller wants completion ASAP but it's just the dreaded offer (or decline!!!) that's holding things up

Until the offer is received. Your solicitor won't be able to complete the necessary paperwork and enquiries as required by your lender. Be prepared to wait a while longer if you've only just submitted the full application.
