Make mash, burger and veg more interesting?

Options
My dinner sounds really boring. The mash is left from yesterday, it and the burgers need used today.

What can I add to make this more interesting?

You could break up the burgers, turn them into meatballs and cook them in a tomato based sauce.
  • Bubble & Squeak? Mix the veg into the mash, season it up to your taste, fry in the pan with the burgers to soak up juices.

Lots of chilli sauce on the burger and maybe a little strong cheese in the potato.

...then put them in an oven proof dish with the mash on the top and cook in the oven.

  • Cut up the burgers and lay them in an ovenproof dish, add some fried onion (Not sauted FRIED) then a tin of beans, you can use whatever you like, even baked beans then add a tin of tomatoes, top with mash, sprinkle some grated cheese on top and pop in the oven until golden
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I'd squish the burgers back into mince and fry off with onion, herbs, diced veg and a little stock and put in a dish to make a cottage pie, topped with the mash potato.
