  • Ooh theres a number of things you could claim here -
    • Employer not paying you enough to sustain your lifestyle, therefore forcing you to get into debt and take out payday loans
    • Employer putting temptation in your way by giving you access to the company credit cards
    • Employer not specifically stating in the contract/Handbook that the company credit card could not be used to pay off personal debt
    • Employer unreasonably expecting you to act like an adult and take responsibility for your actions
    Take your pick OP!

Which, as you are so fond of seeing the other side of the coin as per earlier post, how about doing so - the OP took responsibility on losing his/her job.

I myself walked into a new job to lose pretty much 10 hours straight off with no redress available (there was no handbook or contract to help I can assure you) to which the response on here was none other then keep with it so it could in turn create more and more misery.. this also included a trip to the sales desk at Cash Converters as even my own family would never understand how I'd got a job at 2009 pay (the first time I went to payday lenders, only I couldn't see how to get out of a low paying industry then)

I've now left that job for another (higher paid) and when I've paid my current loan, the lender (although I understand refuse to close down accounts) are going to be in a nasty surprise when I have to command they do so in my final endeavour to get free, whilst thankful as they helped when no-one else would or could.

The only downside what happens when those genuine of staff then lose their jobs.

We'll then all be happy I'm sure.

Oh my electric bill dropped from £88.00 to £37.00 all these years paying nearly £90 through no other choice, makes me see another light if you don't mind. This all makes a difference regrettably to late.

In relation to this lender, I know myself they give conflicting advice, imagine receiving this message when you've entered you're car registration and other vitals - "Oops, we're having some problems. Unfortunately our website has blown a gasket. Sorry for the inconvenience. Our mad scientists are on the case so please try again later." on calling I was then assured they had received no such details, this only a couple of months ago.. and the FCA authorise this, mind boggles. Really it does.

The above diatribe has to be the longest load of disjointed and meaningless tripe that it has been my misfortune to read on here for a long time.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
