New job! Should I sign off now, or nearer the time?

starting in a couple of weeks, though signing on due today.. do I tell them, and hope they run JSA claim til job starts, or leave until nearer the time?

Same applies, to housing benefit claim- do all councils offer a 'run on' of 4 weeks?

No money for a month, will be hard!

Congratulations.
You can mention the job offer if you want, but they'll just tell you to keep job searching, regardless.
Do not formally sign off until you start the new job - things happen, jobs fall through, start dates get delayed.

Thanks- would the rent/ c.tax claim 'roll on' be back dated? 4 weeks I beleive..
