Susie! What lovely pictures! Thank you!

This morning my little terrier (in her specially made red net dress with the velvet bodice covered in sparkly Christmas trees) and I walked to the farm shop to collect our veg order. We don't overdo it at Christmas, but we have a turkey crown, stuffing, loads of veg, homemade cranberry sauce, gravy, sausages and prunes rolled in bacon and a pud and custard for afters, all is ready to welcome our one guest, who is responsible for crackers and naff light up flashing glasses (a must). I'll also get him to light the fire while I cook. My husband can be in charge of Christmas music and coffee or Buck's Fizz.

Christmas is a religious holiday to me, and I love a peaceful holiday with my husband and a good friend. We'll be thinking of our son and daughter in law living so far away, and also the rest of the family at the other end of England, and of course our daughter in law's family half a world away in Australia.
