Looking to remortgage after DMP

After some advice please,
I have a joint mortgage with my wife with NRAM and looking to move to a fixed rate. Fourteen years and approximately £94 k remaining.
I have finished a DMP with two defaults one dated 2011 and the other 2012.
Are we best staying with what we have for the moment until he defaults drop off or do we have anything to lose and try and get a fixed rate deal with a different lender?
We do have correspondence from NRAM offering to put us in touch with mortgage advisors as they are obviously looking to move their mortgage customers on.

Any advice please?

Thanks

  • There may be lenders out there who would consider your situation, you're likely to need a specialist broker though.

I'd probably be weary of using the advisers NRAM puts you in touch with.
