Can anyone tell me how the payments are worked out when an ex has other children. In this case there are 2 children and ex has been living abroad where he has remarried and had another 3 children.
Now having returned to live in the UK the payments for the first 2 children will reduce but can anyone advise how they work out the percentage. thanks

Which scheme do you come under?
If its the 1993 scheme it is quite a complicated formula. PM me figures if you want.
If it is the 2003 scheme then for two children he will be paying 20% of his net salary. With three new children they will first of all deduct 25% form his salary before working out the 20% for your children so you will now get 20% of the 75% that is left.0 -
Thanks for the reply. Im actualy asking on a friends behalf, Im not in the situation but Im trying to help.
They have not been through the CSA, he has always paid her direct but has just come back to live and work in the UK and brought back the new family so she is expecting him to be changing the maintenance he pays for his first children.0
