Re-possession Advice

Hi,
I might be posting in the completely wrong place all together so apologies if so.

I had a mortgage under my name, got into arrears, and was advised by a friend to get it re-mortgaged.

Did so with the help of his sister working in some mortgage company, fell into arrears again and the property was re possessed in June 2010.

Now, I believe it was all one big mess and I had no idea at the time what was happening and they took advantage of my naivety.

I was wondering how can i get the matter investigated, if at all. Where exactly can i begin? and if its worth the effort?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
