    You should of said well iv saved 39k in interest ill use that to buy a holiday home haha

    Well done to you. That is a massive achievement.

    You will now have to find somewhere secure to store the deeds of your home. If you had left a little on your mortgage the bank would have held them for you. A solicitor would be able to store them for you but you will probably have to pay a fee for them to do that.

    Just remember wherever the deeds are stored that there are no other copies of the deeds as it will be the original. If you keep it in your home and anything happened to your home you could loose them. So always best to store them in a fire proof safe or like I have mentioned at a solicitors.

    Just called the Halifax as mortgage is no longer showing when I log in

    They say its in some form of processing state and showing as in positive balance so looking good

    Also say you no longer get deeds you get a reference number and held at the land registry
