Address Change

Just changed addresses for my CC's, Driving Licence, Bank & Noodle Credit Report.

Now the question is

1) Will this affect my credit score?

2) How long should I wait until I call the broker for a Mortgage?

Many thanks

When you say you changed your address, do you mean you have moved, or you previously moved but didn't update your address on your accounts and D/Lic (which by the way you can be fined £1000 for having the incorrect address on)?

Lenders typically want to see a 3 year address history, so when you update the address on your accounts is irrelevant as it's the dates you moved into the property you will need to disclose, for all addresses you have had over the last three years minimum.

If you have multiple addresses over this time lenders tend to like it less than if you have a stable address history.

There is no such thing as a "credit score" in the sense you are referring to it - How it will affect a mortgage application depends on how the lender views your circumstances and will be unique to each lender.

Moved into my parents current house in Dec 1999. I moved out to my rented property April 2012 paying council tax & rent.

I have just changed addresses this week for the above. The question is, when can I apply?! Will the credit score see the new address in just a few days?

I am not sure what you mean by "will the credit score see the new address"? This doesn't make any sense. You don't update your address on a "credit score" / "credit file". Your address links shown on your credit files will be derived from links to financial accounts and your registration on the electoral register. I assume you are registered to vote at your current rented property given you have been there for over three years?

It doesn't matter when you make your application - When you apply you give your address, stating that you moved in in April 2012.

Thanks for reply, I was referring to Noodle credit file.

So by speaking the L&C tomorrow it wont make an issue?

So you use the Noddle (Callcredit) service - And have given them your address, however your files will have all addresses they are aware of linked via financial account information and electoral register history.

No it isn't a problem- You just given them your address history and move in / out dates when asked.
