Agency Assingment Coming to an End - where next?

This Friday (30/10), my three month assingment working for the Business Admin side of the college comes to an end. I'm unavailable for work the first week of November due to numerous things going on re: appointments and what not.
I spoke to the agency manager yesterday, and she said there isn't anything yet but will be contacted if something comes up. I am working overtime this week, so will have a big paycheck at the end of November.
Question is, if work is scarce what do I do? Would I be allowed to sign on even though my contrubitions are less? Also, what about working for other agencies, could that happen for say 1-2 week assingments?

Not sure what you mean by 'contributions are less'. You can sign on if you are eligible for contribution based jobseekers. Have you exhausted your 26 weeks previously?0

You can work for as many agencies as you like, register with as many as you can to increase your chances of getting work. You could possibly claim JSA whilst waiting but that would depend on your income/contributions which you don't give details on the first post.0

Any other vacancies, at the college? Have a word with HR dept, to see if you can put job wanted sign on noticeboards, of college forums etc..breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??0

I signed off in July 2015, and have been working since then up until Friday, There is no jobs going at the college other than lecturer positions and I am obviously not qualified. I work 37 hours a week, and earn roughly £950-1000 a month after tax.
I have applied for a temporary position online in another part of the region, so waiting on that.0
