capquest collection agency

Hi guys, wondering if anyone can help. Over the last couple of months iv been sorting my credit file out, with some great success so far. My problem is that i contacted capquest collection agency regarding a debt of £192 making a offer of full and final settlement for 50%. The debt was old and only had a few months to go before 6 years would have lapsed and it would have dropped off my file. They replied asking me to contact to discuss the offer and i was advised not to call and wait for a letter off them either accepting or declining the offer. Now the debt no longer shows on my credit file and it has been a few months since i have heard off them, but today my parents were contacted by capquest looking for me. Where do i stand can they reissue a default on my account for the same debt or go for a ccj against me? Just need some advice on how to handle this situation.
Thanks karl.
Thanks karl.

They can't issue another default, but could go for a CCJ. Unlikely for £192, but you never know.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

The creditor should send a pre-court letter to explain their intentions as the court expects both parties to do what they can to avoid court action. I’m not sure this always happens though.
At the very least you should receive a county court claim form in the post if the claimant knows your current address.
