With any computer you are buying the processors, memory, HD, SSD, graphics card etc to meet your needs. These components are held inside a plastic case.

The name printed on the case is largely irrelevant.

    Not really.
Some company with design which are easier to de-assemble for repair.
Some do better on keeping laptop cold.
    Some use better screen.
    Some have less bloatware.
  • Hi dawndew

I am new to this forum and I saw your message and I hope this helps you.

I have a Toshiba Satellite C660 Laptop and it is very good. It Isn't slow to me and I have had it for nearly 3 years. I have recently updated it to Windows 10.

I looked but the Toshiba Satellite C660 Laptop I had has been discontinued now.

I have seen some Toshiba Satellite and other Laptops on the Currys PC World website.

I hope this is useful to you
    Best wishes

    David. :)

  • Hi Dawndew

Thanks very much for your reply.

I have just seen another Toshiba Satellite Laptop on the Argos website in their 5 Day Event. It is a Toshiba Satellite C50 Laptop not an L50, but I thought you might want to have a look at it to see it's what you may want.

It is reduced by £30 to £249.99 from £279.99

    Best Wishes

    David. :)
