Help with Wonga
Hi I'm new here and looking for some advice regarding Wonga
in 2008 i took out several payday loans with Wonga and paid them all back when due and reapplied for a new one the same day, on the last occasion I applied I was rejected by them and had to go elsewhere.
I heard nothing from Wonga for several months when out of the blue I got a phone call asking me to repay my last loan, I stated I had but the lady I spoke to said we did reject your first loan application but later that day changed our minds and issued, I asked for proof of this but never received any.
in November 2009 i then received emails from them stating I had repaid my last loan and would I like to apply for another which of course I did not (i still have these emails).
over the next few years I received various threats and demands from the fake companies Wonga were using each time I stated I owe nothing and if you think I do prove it, again no proof was forthcoming.
Earlier this year I received an offer of compensation for £50 due to the fake companies scandal but the letter stated I still owed them over £1000 in an unpaid loan, this was after they had removed all interest as a gesture of good will.
I rejected the offer and replied stating my case, that I had never had the last loan etc etc and then heard nothing from them.
I wrote and mailed several times all with no response until 2 months ago I received an e mail saying to progress further I needed to provide more details, when I did reply they said they had never heard of me even though I replied to the mail they sent me.
I then wrote to them explaining my side of everything and again I have heard nothing.
All I really want is for Wonga to become a memory and get them out of my life, compensation would be nice but not essential.
Can somebody please advise me on what I can do now ?
Thank you in advance

going on the timescales you've listed, surely any alleged debt should be, or is in fact statute barred by now anyway.0
